Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing body for culturally based sororities and fraternities. The council serves as a coordinating body for all formal recruitment activities, social activities, workshops, seminars and community service projects. We do not discriminate against any type of sexuality or gender appearance.
In order to be eligible to join one of our Multicultural Greek Council organizations, potential new members must complete the Mandatory FSL Virtual Orientation Module where you will learn about what it means to be a member of our community!
Fraternities and sororities will be required to complete and submit the Texas State Membership Intake Forms to the Fraternity and Sorority Life office prior to conducting new member intake and all national intake processes will be under the direction and guidance of a fraternity or sorority chapter advisor and faculty/staff advisor. Potential new members must attain a minimum of at least 12 credit hours or more depending on the requirements of each MGC chapter and must have a Texas State grade point average of at least 2.5 or above to be considered for membership.
